Repeated prompts re new version

Question

When using abrp app on my Samsung Galaxy. a dark grey box keeps coming up telling me there is a new version and to click yes or no to reload to use it.  I've tried both, and nothing changes.

1.  Is this legit?

2.  How can I ensure latest version is installed or install it? And keep my saved maps?

Ah, I've seen this before, something gets sideways in the downloaded copy of the site and it constantly re-prompts.  Two ways around this, you can clear the site's cache in Chrome (Firefox, etc), or delete the "home screen" version of the app and re-add it to your home screen.

Your saved routes are associated with your ABRP Account, assuming you have one (Settings > More Settings > Synchronize Settings).

Thank you!  I'm only using mobile phone app this trip when these pop up so assume not my internet browser will try the fixes.

Ah, as of now the "app" is still just the website in a wrapper.  Assuming you're using Chrome (instructions will vary depending on what browser you used originally) here's how to reset the cache:

  1. Open Chrome and go to the Settings
  2. Scroll down and go to "Site Settings"
  3. Scroll down and go to "Storage"
  4. ABRP should be close to the top because of the map tile caching, pick it
  5. Select "Clear & Reset"

You'll have to log in again, but it should force it to reload properly.
