Erik007
Since two days when I try to plan a trip from my courant position to a destination. My courant position is wrong the site means that I'm always in Paris. I reinstall the web application on my Samsung. But the failure is always there. This is likely due to us trying to determine your location based on IP address if you don't have GPS enabled on your phone or device, it happens frequently to me when planning on my laptop. Does your device have GPS available? 6 hours ago, SteveRadich said: I have this often in Tesla Model 3, shows Kansas. This is a known issue in the new Tesla Browser, unfortunately. You can get around this by adding your MyTesla login, and ABRP will pull location directly from the car's GPS.
dsrenger
I have an similar issue with ABRP It does not update my position correctly gos is enabled. If I logout from my abrp account the position is correct. As soon as I login into my account it jumps to a location near my working office. I assume it has it stored somewhere and is not overwriting by gps, which is turned on and working if I am logged out. Deleted already my browser cache Any hints what I can do? Jason-ABRP
@dsrenger & @Erik007 - I'm not sure how this ever worked right, but I've fixed the bug and you should be able to use your phone's GPS location.
NatroN
@Jason (ABRP) just for clarification. I use evnotify to push all the data into arbp and another phone to view my data while driving. Will the "viewing" alter the data? I don't know why but I already made a lot of trips with this setup and it seems it has stopped working recently

I just pushed a fix for some live data stuff, perhaps it broke something. My testing didn't turn anything up, but that doesn't mean that nothing broke. What does it show when you check on your live data on the site? (Settings > More Settings > View Live Data)
NatroN
Well I didn't drive a lot the last week. I'm sure it was working on 05.07.2019 and was not on my 2 hour trip today morning starting at 08:35 a.m. CEST When I click on view live data it brings up some data sometimes - not always... my location is totally of. Viewing device is an iphone - pushing device is evnotify on a raspberry pi - pushing data every 15 seconds to evnotify currently. I've reached out to the evnotify developer as well. I just love the live data feature in abrp..
Jason-ABRP
Hmm, well, there was a subtle little bug in the fix I pushed out last night which I've now fixed, but I don't think it would cause what you're seeing.. I've sent you a PM of what I'm seeing for your data on the ABRP server (assuming your email matches). Perhaps that will help us narrow down the issue. dsrenger
Hi, I think i found the reason my "wrong position" issue. I am using an raspberry device to push data to EVnotify and in the end to ABRP. This device has no GPS. I did not know, that ABRP is expecting GPS data from EVnotify. I thought ABRP will take the SOC from EVnotify and match the GPS data of the smartphone/browser that runs ABRP. As far as I understood ABRP planner is expecting GPS data from EVnotify. Thats why it had GPS data when i logged out (it used the browser data) and had no data (jumped to another position) when I looged in (Evnotify did not have GPS data and ABRP is not pulling data from the browser instead). Does it makes sense for you? That could be the mechanism, right? Perhaps a nice enhancement to pull the data from the browser if EVnotify is not sending GPS data. I tested it yesterday with a normal bluetooth dongle and a smartphone and it got GPS when I was looged in. Only thing that didnt worked is, that ABRP did not consider the actual SOC correctly, but that was fixed over night, because it worked this morning. Seems like that was the bug you were talking about Regards Dennis Edited July 15, 2019 by dsrenger
Jason-ABRP
@dsrenger - That is indeed the bug I was talking about, in some circumstances it would retrieve the SoC, but not use it, so fixed that bug! As far as GPS, that's the thing I'm going to work on with EVNotify. I just pushed an update last night that allows the driving mode to work with no lat/long data from the source device (RPi in your case) using lat/long from the browser. This assumes that you do have actual GPS data, because you need lat/long & speed. It doesn't work on my laptop (providing lat/long from network location) but it does on my phone (GPS). That said, I think I have a little back-end work to do on the API to make it so it doesn't throw errors to EVNotify when lat/long isn't provided, and also figure out a way to merge your two data sources, since movement speed is integral to our car model improvements. Calico
Hello there. I would like to know if with the same configuration as @dsrenger, we could have a frozen position in ABRP when the GPS data is transmitted but wrongly. Let me explain : I’m like a lot of Peugeot EV users actually, with a stuck GPS position transmitted by the Peugeot API since a few weeks now. The bug is known by them but nothing has changed as this is not officially supported (this was told by mail from Peugeot service support). I use a Python script with a generic ABRP link with this API in order to transmit data to ABRP. This device which is running the script doesn’t have GPS. It transmits a position retrieved from the Peugeot API but it does not evolve when I’m driving, contrary to @dsrenger Raspberry which doesn’t transmit any position at all. Even if I’m overriding vehicle position in ABRP in the settings in order to use smartphone’s GPS information instead of API’s, the position shown in ABRP Apple Watch is stuck, so I suppose that it should be the same from smartphone’s ABRP point of view. Is there a way to make it work correctly ? Thank you.
atlen
Dear abetterrouteplanner, I have a similar issue what this topic has. I have "start point" and "end of your trip" on the plan and the map shows it in a correct way. But when the navigation start it is jumping back one of the old point and I can not cancel delete or do something about it. This topic was started more than 1 year ago. Do you have any solution? Thank you for your support. BR atlen

Please visit: https://abrp.upvoty.com/boards/posts/report-a-bug/ This is most likely a different issue, your linked vehicle appears to have been disconnected and I would suggest to link it again. /Katya
