Luft
I've ordered a 2023 Bolt EUV and wish to use ABRP connected through an OBD2 dongle. I understand that not all dongles work with all cars. I need to know which OBD2 dongle to purchase. I am concerned about security. I don't want someone to gain access to my car because I leave the dongle plugged into the car and I don't want to have to unplug it every time I leave the car. Are there any recommendations? AeroPilot
I use a Veepeak BLE. I think all Bluetooth dongles are a potential security risk under the right conditions.
Ou Boet
I have the OBDLink CE which is BLE and it works very well with ABRP. You can use a regualar BlueTooth OBDII dongle (more secure), but you'll need an intermediate service like EVNotify which adds complications. Don M
2023 Bolt EUV...Any known issues with the Vgate vLinker MC+? I do know that you have to reconnect it manually if it is unplugged but I just thought it has a bit more security to it. To be honest, had I realized the OBD2 port was so easy to access on the Bolt, I wouldn't have made the security a significant issue.
