VoltWagon
(I tried sending this question to Support 6 days ago and haven't heard from anyone, so I'll try the Forum.) I upgraded to the Premium version to get a more accurate estimate (in advance) for the amount of charge that is needed for a particular trip. In the Settings, I have set up a couple of configurations: Cargo Box (top of car) and Bikes on Back. When I use the Cargo Box configuration, I'm surprised to see that the estimated charge needed for the trip is actually LESS than it is when I select the Standard configuration. I must be doing something wrong; can someone please point me in the right direction? Perhaps ABRP does not really take configurations into account when predicting estimated charges, but instead does on-the-fly calculations when the vehicle is actually traveling? Here are all of the details in case this helps: My configuration: 2021 VW ID.4 Pro AWD 77kWh ABRP Premium version 4.3.5(2057) Vgate VLinker MC+ BLE+Bluetooth My sample plan: https://abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=720a70d8-0b69-4518-abde-b0e363bccdae Battery usage for the above plan with Automatic Settings turned on, as calculated by ABRP: Standard configuration: 52%, based on subtracting the 20% ending charge from the 72% starting charge. Cargo Box configuration (cargo on roof): 49% Bikes on Back configuration: 49% Rechecking Standard configuration again, it’s now 49%. I’ve noticed a lot of random variation, but after I go through the cycle a couple of times, all three configurations seem to settle down to identical values. This does not seem to make much sense to me.
