Bo-ABRP
To verify and improve our models we need your feedback. There's many ways we could use help if you actually own one: Drive a plan and compare it to the actual battery used. Drive a plan with the browser active, and update your actual battery percentage in the browser. Contribute data via OBD or other methods. The best way to improve the data is to provide data directly from the car. Connecting your car not only improves the models, but allows you to follow up directly in the car while driving! We have several ways of doing that, but we need your help to figure out what will work with your car: An OBD reader can be used in concert with a custom app like LeafSpy, or a PID list and Torque Pro. If your manufacturer has an API to access data from the car we can set up access to that API, like we do for Tesla If you're familiar with either of these, contact me at jason@abetterrouteplanner.com and I'll help figure out what we need to do to connect your car! Thanks for providing feedback!
Soulful Sally
Hello Jason My wife and I just completed a 3000 kilometer trip in our new 2020 Kia Soul ev. Each part of the trip was planned on ABRP and I kept records of all the charging, SOCs, and mileages. I'd be interested in sharing the info with ABRP. I have screen shots of the ABRP routes and an Excel spreadsheet of my information. I haven't had a chance to purchase and OBD2 module yet, but have plans to do so soon, as soon as I can figure out which one to use with my IOS phone. If you're interested in the route info let me know and I'll send it. Regards Doug

That said, since we're still developing the Soul EV 64kWh model, I'd love to hear how it fared compared to our plan! Feel free to post them here, or send them to me in an email! MickeN
Hello I have been logging from my e-Soul since the end of June and was wondering how it goes with the work on the model? Since ABRP can use live data from my car I assume upload of data is at least working. Is there anything more I can assist with like specific driving condition etc? Regards /Micke

Perhaps set your cruise in 5mph / 10km/h increments and spend 5-10 minutes driving each speed on your next road trip?
Soulful Sally
Hello MickeN How are you logging from your Soul ev? I bought an OBDLink MX+ and tried getting it to work for about a week before giving up and sending it back. All I ever got out it was 12 volt battery voltage. I’m interested in getting logging to work but don’t know what to try next. Regards Doug (Soulful Sally)

Then I use Torque Pro on my phone (Android) and download the description files (PID files). After that you get access to much more relevant data. You will find the PID files on the internet and also in the setup dialogue for live data in ARBP. I found a small diff when comparing the PID files from internet vs the ones supplied in ABRP so I recommend to use the ones from ABRP.
