Jojo
Description: Everytime when opening the browser in the model 3, abrp page gets reloaded. Since a while it pre positions the car by mobile cells. Because the model 3 has an dutch provider it always locates me in the netherlands until it acquires position from gps or Tesla account. Please implement delay, that abrp waits with replan until position is read from gps or account. Thanks
Jojo
Hello ABRP within Model 3 browser does still not aquire GPS info direct from the car, does it? It still locates me in the netherlands, asking to replan, each time I open the browser. Obviously it acquires GPS info from the Tesla account. Today this account was not updated with information for 30min+, so ABRP has no chance to locate me and replan accordingly. Should the GPS, acquired from the car, work? Bo-ABRP
At least in Tesla SW 2019.16.* there was a bug in the browser which made GPS position fail for web sites. To be able to do anything useful at all, we added IP address positioning, which is unfortunately only useful when you are on wifi. The only solution right now is to log in using your MyTesla account, which is however nice from many other aspects.
Jojo
Hello Bo For sure I'm logged in with my Tesla account. Everything else wouldn't make any sense. Questions: - Should the GPS position acquisition from the car within the browser (Software 2019.20.x) should work? - Should I get the popup in a sense "Please allow access to position. Yes/No". ? I do not get this popup since a long time with latest software. - Do I have to delete the bookmarks and delete cookies (BTW: I don't know, how to do that in Tesla browser) to force GPS access popup? Or is this functionality simple not integrated with ABRP at the moment? Instead of that above you implemented the IP address location, ok, right? Could you please set this up with a delay, that it waits to locate via IP until it does not get the information from the Tesla account? Prio 1: Location from car GPS Prio 2: Location from Tesla account Prio 3: Location by IP with delay, only if Tesla account is not responding within a certain time. Thanks Bye
Bo-ABRP
Thanks for feedback! The bug in the Tesla browser is that they do not display the "Allow access to location" dialog - they will instead just report back that the user said "No". As soon as we get that "No" we will look for IP location instead. But I realize that this may be annoying if you are actually logged in with MyTesla. I'll implement that delay you proposed! Edit: Done, see how it works for you.

Jojo
I used ABRP 1h ago and after reopening the browser I was not in the netherlands. I even do not recognize any delay. Do you use the last known position before you get new one from Tesla account? Works perfect. Thanks
