ABRP routing fails – cannot set SoC

Recommended Posts

New user of ABRP, intrigued by the advertised capability, now in initial 14 day trial after buying it. Today, tried to route a multi-stop route including two charge stops. Planning works fine. When the rubber meets the road though, i.e., when starting to navigate along the plan, things fail miserably: I cannot set the SoC, so ABRP operates with an arbitrary one. Even worse, it changes this initial SoC inexplainably – jumps from 50% to 90%, then down to 44% again. So, ABRP ends up being totally useless for driving, as it tries to send me to a charger when the car still has plenty of charge.

Weird thing: when starting to route, the "actual" SoC is displayed with two arrows to its left and right, one down, one up, very much _suggesting_ I could manually adapt the SoC to the real value in the car. Would love for that to work, but it doesn't. Hopefully there is a fix, would love to keep the app.

Thx for your help,
-Matt

Hi @Matt42,

We no longer handle bug/issue reports here on the community forum but feel free to submit an official report via the 'support & feedback' section at the bottom of the settings menu in app/web or at: https://abrp.upvoty.com/boards/posts/report-a-bug/

I've however checked and since you currently do not have a saved car linked for live data there is no way for us to read your actual SoC. This is why you're shown the buttons to manually edit the SoC in driving mode. Should this not work please submit a bug report stating the app version and device model. SoC is otherwise edited in settings.

/Katya
