I keep losing route changes. How do I save changes

Question

I'm still pretty new here so probably an obvious / stupid question.

I put in a route from NJ->Denver awhile back to play around.  Today I'm trying to do two things.  Change the end point (my daughter moved) and add a couple hotel stops.  I seem to be able to do that just fine and the route calculates.  But when I say open another route, then come back to this one the changes are gone.  Hotel stops aren't there and the old address is back.  As far as I can tell, there is no 'save' button.  So how does the change get saved?  What am I doing wrong?

thanks

Well I did figure it out but gonna have to do some bug reporting.  I finally found where the basic tutor says click the heart/plan which I had done.  But the save doesn't always show.  That was one problem.  And sometimes when it does show, clicking it does not bring up the second prompt to save over an existing or make a new.

So how did you make it work?  I can't make save/restore work at all.  Whenever I save a route, it says the route was saved OK but when I load it back up again it never loads properly.  It's driving me mad!

I'm probably going to disappoint you as I"m not quite sure because it's been a few weeks and I don't quite remember.

But I do remember is that when I clicked on the heart, sometimes the save didn't come up.  Now it always does.  Did I clear my cache or something?  Don't know

Second when the save came up, the second dialog did not always come up and I don't remember why.

I think if you get to the second dialog where it asks you whether you want to replace an old one or create a new one you are probably good.  But if the old plan, you still need to pick it from a list that comes up after you click 'save an old plan'.

I think most of my problems were with not understanding the interface which I don't think is very good.  Once I got things working, they have stayed working so I'm thinking it was my own ignorance for the most part.

So I'd try

1 - change the plan somehow

2 - click the Plans/heart

3 - click "Save current plan"

4 - click "Replace Existing Plan"

5 - click the name of your plan

That seems to be consistently working for me now.
