Web interface keeps saying I can't edit my vehicle data to create new configurations

I am trying to do something reasonable: I'd like to set up vehicle configurations with one passenger plus some luggage, another with two passengers and luggage.  I keep getting told (this is on Safari) that there's an error and the vehcile info cannot be edited.  Bizarrely, the new configuration shows up, but there's not much I can do with it.  I'm also not seeing any way in the GUI to simply assign added weight to create a new configuration.  Finally, I'd like to be able to assign a configuration to a planned trip.  Maybe this happens automatically if I save a trip with the desired configuration chosen, but if so, it's not obvious.

These are simple planning steps.  This is a planning app.  How is this supposed to work?

PS: I have tried logging out of ABRP and logging back in...errors persist.
