spottv
Description: When planning a route from Ocean City, MD to Annapolis, MD, the web site tells the user to take an unnecessary 188 mile path, when a 108 mile path exists. Interestingly, when the trip is reversed (from Annapolis, MD to Ocean City, MD), the website recommends the shorter 108 mile path. Type: webpage Link to Plan: https://abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=84bbe50d-cd4d-4755-8f02-603695e3e83b Replication Steps: Using link above in either desktop versions of Chrome or Firefox, you'll see the longer and unnecessary 188 mile path. Next, reverse your starting and end points and calculate the route. You'll then see the shorter 108 mile path.
j-lan
ABRP seems to think that the Chesapeake Bay Bridge is closed in one direction. It may be an error in OpenStreetMap. It happens that road segments are not properly linked together, leaving an invisible gap.
