TomTomZoe
The new Chevrolet Bolt MY2022 and the Chevrolet Bolt EUV MY2022 have a slightly smaller battery: Instead of 66kWh since MY2020 they have only 65kWh capacity beginning in MY2022. @Katya-ABRP Can ABRP create a new Bolt EV car model for Bolt 2022 version? Second request: Due to the safety recall for all ever built Bolts EV/EUV (and also Opel Ampera-e) all built Ampera-e (and also older Bolt EVs) will get the new version of the Bolt EV/EUV MY2022 battery with 65KWh capacity. The replacement will start in a few weeks/months. Can ABRP already create an additional car model with foresight for the Ampera-e with the new 65kWh batterie? (At the moment all Ampera-e have 60kWh capacity.) This would be very nice. Edited September 1, 2021 by TomTomZoe
dstuligross
I agree, My '19 Bolt is scheduled for a 65 kWh battery replacement and it's unclear how I should proceed (Should I set my maximum battery charge to 108%, for example?)
TomTomZoe
Meanwhile there are different Bolt EVs to choose from, with and without the HV battery upgrade: But unfortunately, the sister car Opel Ampera-e is still only available as one single version : @Katya-ABRP @Jason-ABRP Can ABRP also implement a car model for the Ampera-e with the HV Battery Upgrade please? In Europe the first Ampera-e cars got their HV Battery upgraded with the new useable capacity of 65kWh and their drivers still want to use ABRP. Jason-ABRP
Ah, I hadn't heard any news about the Ampera E's battery replacements. I'll get the model updated and pushed.
TomTomZoe
Thank you very much for the Ampera-e upgrade, Jason!
TomTomZoe
@Jason-ABRP Unfortunately the new "Ampera-e 66kWh Upgrade" has no Torque Pro! The 60kWh has it. Can you please also add Torque Pro option for the 66kWh Upgrade? By the way: All GM Bolt EV versions can actual use ABRP OBD BLE. That's phantastic! I think it will be no big effort to activate ABRP OBD LE also for both Ampera-e versions. What do you think about it? TomTomZoe
I tested both versions (60kWh and 66kWh) on the ABRP website with a distance of about 700 km and 8.5 hours of pure driving time. Surprisingly, exactly the same driving time and the same number of charging processes are calculated. I would have expected a shorter overall time and possibly even fewer charging processes. If I calculate the same trip with Bolt EV 60kWh and Bolt EV 66kWh, their is a difference of 25min and 1 charing between both. Can you please check the 66kWh driving model for the Ampera-e? Jason-ABRP
I just updated the charge curve based on more recent live data, so that should help (when it goes live next time we push an update out). But on my side I tried a trip side by side (turning off live traffic, which might affect the comparison even a few minutes later), and I did see lower charge times, so not sure of the source of the (lack of) discrepancy between the two models.
