Y-crosscountry-in-July
About 3920 mi (6309 km) in 16 days. We did several side trips. This is, I think, the longest trip reported here. There are not enough superchargers in the American southwest. We charged on average every 100 mi. The A/C used 10% of the battery per hour. We had to plan around the chargers and sometimes drive out of our way. ABRP was nice. Some useful additions would be: the ability to state that we would drive an extra 30 mi at a stop w/o having to detail the 30 mi of roads. the ability to pick waypoints on the map. the ability to export detailed info about our drives, in addition to the start and end points. We never did figure out how to export the planned route to the car. It was easier to reenter the info to the car.
Ecurb
As another model Y driver, thank you for this information. I'm curious about a couple of things: Charging every 100 miles seems low. Do you have the long range Y or the performance? I ask because I have the Y Long Range and the charging stops ABRP recommends average out to about every 150 miles. Also, how did you determine that the AC used 10% of your battery capacity? Can you get that from one of the Tesla screens? Appreciate any additional information . . . Katya-ABRP
Hi @Y-crosscountry-in-July, On 8/22/2021 at 8:41 PM, Y-crosscountry-in-July said: the ability to state that we would drive an extra 30 mi at a stop w/o having to detail the 30 mi of roads. Just '30 extra miles' ? When we make our calculations, the type of road does play a part. The calculated consumption will differ depending on elevation, speed etc. Thus you will have to specify the destination. In the apps this is done my pressing for a moment on the map, in the web version you right-click. Assuming you mean your logged activities and not the export of a plan, which information would you like included in the exports? To have a plan sent to your Tesla, one will first have to have a linked vehicle. Once the plan is created, you may click: share > send to Tesla. Do however note that because Tesla doesn't handle waypoints, we'll only be able to send one waypoint (the very next one) at a time. /Katya
