Radio turns on after each ABRP announcement.

I've just done my first journey with ABRP Carplay Premium.  My car is a 2020 Kia eNiro 4. Unfortunately i think there may be a bug in your software. what I am finding is that after ever voice announcement from your software (eg turn left, take ramp, etc) finishes , the car radio turns on. If I turn the radio back off then it will turn on again after the next ABRP announcement is made. We were hoping to use ABRP for a 3 day drive across Europe but this makes it pretty unusable.

My 2020 Chevy Bolt does the same thing.  Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze all do not.   If the radio is already on, ABRP mutes it while giving direction, but they come out low and hard to hear.  With the other 3 apps, if the radio is on, they will lower the sound of the radio a bit, and speak over them in a louder voice.  It seems ABRP is not coded to use the VOICE volume or pathway to the head unit, and instead is coming through as a music or general audio source.  I am not sure of the proper terminology.  But, I know that when I turn my volume knob when music is playing, a VOLUME indicator comes up.  When I turn the volume knob when Apple Maps is talking, a VOICE level indicator comes up.  I have to try again with ABRP to see what comes up.

I have the same problem with radio volume level after voice announcements from ABRP.

As with the original post, I have just completed a return trip from the Algarve to the Alentejo in Kia E-Niro and found this infuriating, especially as I rarely listen to Portuguese radio.

Additionally trying to change the volume of the directions from the steering wheel control has no effect.

What with this and the numerous instructions to “Exit roundabout” when there were no roundabouts anywhere in site, left me profoundly disappointed with the app.

Surely someone should be looking in to this problem!

Of course! However this is a super old thread and we've since rewritten CarPlay completely as well as moved bug reports to https://abrp.upvoty.com/boards/posts/report-a-bug/

Please submit this issue there and we'll pick up on it.
