ABRP tutorial

Question

I have searched on YouTube for instructional videos for navigating the ABRP program.  Some are good but limited.  I have an upcoming road trip and I need to better understand using the program- where can I go?  Specifically need info on:

*  Linking to my Tesla Model Y so charging stops can be pre conditioned

*  Best way to use, either through the car's web browser or on my iPad

* Configuring a route with multiple stops over several days

Thanks for any help

On the third point: you can include an amenity stop with hotel x hours after start trip with an y hour stay at that location.

So start your planning with start - destination and amenity. Then you get your first night stop. you add that ones as a waypoint, etc..

works fine indeed, but if one changes some parameters and recalculate the hotel hours are included in the trip time while the first attempt it is not.

I need to delete the stop and reinstall the hotel after x hours of driving.

if trip time = time in the car or charging CCS, then this is a bug.

I have a VW id4, android phone using android auto app. With your new release your app is available in Android Auto (yeah!). I connect to AAuto via USB cable with one phone, or wirelessly, via a 2nd android phone I sometimes use.

I bought a Veepeak ODB dongle and have connected via Evnotify.

I have granted evnotify permission in your app. Which BTW I have the pro version.

Will the app receive the r/t data from the ODB based on this? Is there anything else that I should do?

Thx

Hi @PnwAl,

In short yes it will but I just checked your account and your saved vehicle doesn't appear connected to EVNotify.

Could you do the following:

1. Go into: Settings (detailed) > Car model
2. Click the cogwheel to the right of your saved vehicle
3. Select a linking option in the list
4. Follow the linking instructions

When running EVNotify, you should enable it to run in the background.

To do that, go to the Settings menu in EVNotify and click the version number at the bottom of the menu 10 or so times.  This will bring up an advanced menu, and you want to set BACKGROUND_MODE to on.  Of course that menu specifically tells you to ignore what I told you to do!  But this setting keeps EVNotify running in the background so it continues to get data from the car (and feed it to ABRP).
