Tomas
Hi, The 2021 LR comes with two different batteries, one with Panasonic and one with LG. LG charges slower. From 10 % to 80 % takes 36 minutes instead of 24 minutes.
Manoel
Yes, it would be nice if ABRP could give us the option to select between 2021 LR [LG] or 2021 LR [Panasonic], same as they do for SR+ LFP. Charging time and things like dropping charging power under 100kW before reaching 50%, makes most of the trips planned less ideal.
Katya-ABRP
Hi @Tomas, @Manoel, Thank you for bringing this to light. If you've come across any data, charging curves that backs this up please link it here and tag me. /Katya
Combl
@Katya-ABRP I've attached two diagrams showing charging curves of the M3 LR Facelift models @ V2 and V3 Super Chargers. You can clearly see two "clusters" of datapoints. The "faster" one is the Panasonic 82kwh battery (E3CD/E3LD) . The "slower" one is the old LG 77kwh battery (E5CD/E5LD). https://teslalogger.de/charger.php
Jagui86
any news about it? It's important for us to be able to estimate range with this battery please!
doggy
As well as the Model 3LRs in the UK and Europe, there are a lot of these being sold in Australia at the moment. So I too would very much like to see the LR LG battery option. Thanks, David
