Bug: Empty Outside temperature to read value from car results in Planner error!

Recommended Posts

Description: Bug: Empty Outside temperature to read value from car results in Planner error!
Replication Steps:
  1. Empty Outside temperature field so that it shows "Car"
  2. Select "Plan Route"
  3. See message "Planner error!" show up at the bottom.

This is with my Tesla credential entered.

Entering a value makes it work again.

This should now be fixed. If the outside temperature is empty, it will first try to fetch it from the car, otherwise revert to default temperature.

We will at some point implement weather forecast temperature too.

Hello

I still cannot get the outside temperature from Tesla account shown up under Live data. Neither in °C nor in °F.

Did you have access to the outside temperature via the API? I thought so.

Thanks

Hello

There were some hours today morning or yesterday, where live data shows outside temperature in °C and °F. Meanwhile it disappears again.

It was shown in live data but was not used for planning.

Is something going on there?

Thanks

Great, at least it is working now.

It shows the temp in live data and take this into account for the calculation.

Thumbs up.

Tesla only provides the external temp when the car is on and the climate controls are running, so if you're planning at home or away from your car you may not see it.
