Hi @BOBMS90D,

- Test drive is a feature that let's you simulate driving with navigation instructions.

- To link your car you'll need some way for ABRP to connect to it, which depending on the vehicle model, the available options can vary a bit. You can find all supported vehicle models and linking options here: https://abetterrouteplanner.com/compare/livedata
Though, judging by your username, if you own a Tesla the setup is simple. You can just log in with your Tesla credentials and no extra apps or hardware will be necessary. This is how:

1. Go into: Settings (detailed) > Car model
2. Click: 'Add my car' (Not 'Select car model')
3. Specify your car model, name it and pick a linking option
4. For Tesla the easiest is to pick 'Link MyTesla', log in with your Tesla credentials

- 'Charging overhead' is extra driving time added for charging stops (If perhaps you think you need a little extra time to find the charger, park etc.) this time is not included in the charging time.

Anything else, just ask!

The orange legs are ones that are beyond your maximum range and where you'll need to drive slower than the posted speed limit to make it.  Eg, the posted speed limit is 120 kph, but ABRP requires you to drive at 90 kph to lower your energy usage so you can make it to the next stop.  If you click/tap on the leg, the details for the leg are shown along with the required speed to drive.

The blue legs are regular legs and you can drive with carefree abandon ?

Hi @BOBMS90D,

Correct, as Ou Boet replied orange legs means planned decreased speed (IF you have turned on 'adjust speed' in speed settings that is, if you don't want us to plan with decreased/adjusted speed this can be switched off). ?

If you're using the premium feature 'live traffic data', part of the route can be orange/red to indicate slower traffic.

Thanks! I am using the app to go from Chicago to Oregon. Started late last night. So far very nice and it appears the app is learning as it gets more data from my car. The very last leg of the trip will be most interesting to see as that is the longest stretch without any fast or slow charger along the shorter route.
