Driving Model:

Option 1 - Analytical - Provide the mathematical parameters to define the car model (See this blog post for details).

Hi guys,

I´d love to have the BMW iX on ABRP but as the car is yet to be released, information regarding needed parameters is rather scarce.

Here is a link the probably most comprehensive collection of information on ev-database.co: https://ev-database.uk/car/1473/BMW-iX-xDrive-50

In addition, I have found the following values:

-Drag coefficient: cD 0.25

-Frontal area (BMW claims similarity with the BMW X6, so here is the X6 number): A=2.83

-Consumption: 20-22.5 kWh per 100km

-Fast charging: up to 200kW

-SoC 10% to 80%: less than 40 minutes (some sources say 35 minutes)

- Charging an additional range of 120km: less than 10 minutes

I hope this helps in coming up with an Alpha model.

I will post any addtional information I can find.

Thanks

Alex

Option 2 - Data-Driven - Perform driving test at multiple speeds, and record efficiency or power draw from the pack.

Option 3 - Direct Car Connection - Provide method of receiving telemetry directly from the car via OBD, API, or other means.

Charging Model:

Charge Curve - Provide a link to a chart or video detailing the charge power over time or by State of Charge %
