Jordan94
Description: My location doesn't appear to be updating in Android Auto while my phone is locked. If I unlock my phone the location immediately updates. I am using OVMS connectivity but have my position set to be overridden so my phone position is used. I noticed that permissions for my phone only allow me to set location "while the app is open" and not always. Type: Android Auto - Beta Link to Plan: N/A Replication Steps: Plan a route in ABRP Drive down the road See ABRP positional cursor has not updated Unlock phone and open ABRP app Location updates Remember, the more detail you can provide in your bug report, the faster we can fix it! sgaert
I had the same issue in several apps. You need to set the "Battery saver" for the abrp app to "no restrictions".
Samuel-ABRP
Do you by chance have a Xiaomi Smartphone?

I did a 400 mile trip over the last 2 days using ABRP linked to OVMS. Had similar problems with locking. If the phone locked the AA screen locked. I also noticed that by having AA and the phone screen running the 2 x displays were different with slightly different info relating to SOC, times and miles remianig etc. Does the phone make a difference? Samuel-ABRP
There is no sync between AA and ABRP so that the data is always the same. It's like two seperate apps. You can plan with ABRP and then navigate on AA. Did you try the energy saver settings? Maybe that helps with AA. This is definitely wrong behavior of Xiaomi Android version. Normally if there is an Android service it should also be able to run in background and not be locked. I heard of other people running xiamo with screen of when they adjusted energy saver settings.
