To verify and improve our models we need your feedback.  There's many ways we could use help if you actually own one:

  • Drive a plan and compare it to the actual battery used.
  • Drive a plan with the browser active, and update your actual battery percentage in the browser.
  • Contribute data via OBD or other methods.

The best way to improve the data is to provide data directly from the car.  Connecting your car not only improves the models, but allows you to follow up directly in the car while driving! We have several ways of doing that, but we need your help to figure out what will work with your car:

  • An OBD reader can be used in concert with a custom app like LeafSpy, or a PID list and Torque Pro.
  • If your manufacturer has an API to access data from the car we can set up access to that API, like we do for Tesla

If you're familiar with either of these, contact me at jason@abetterrouteplanner.com and I'll help figure out what we need to do to connect your car!

Thanks for providing feedback!

It doesn't work at all. It always says "No workable plan found", even if I enter a destination 1 km away from the start position.

Ah, there was a typo in the model.  Fixed now, give it another try!

Good model for long trip. Tested it on 260km between Montreal and Quebec city in Canada and fit perfectly. Was wondering if it was possible to get the charging curve models you use. Specially with the fast charging and battery degradation input. To plan for future battery degradation. At the moment shows 80% health with fleetcarma OBD tool (2012 model) but I use 5-10% degradation with ABRP and works great so I Guess that 10-15% difference is the driving condition variation precision margin ?

Exactly so! We tune the models to be ~10% pessimistic to account for most normal variations in driving condition.  If you calibrate it to your real-world driving, you can improve the Reference Consumption by 10% so long as you're feeling confident.

I've just purchased in I-Miev and should be getting it tomorrow! I'm excited to see if I can help contribute to this and was wondering if there is any OVMS connectivity planned for the future. Been thinking of getting a v3 module at some point, would be cool if it might be possible to feed in live data.
