How to report missing charging locations?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was looking at ABRP for the first time and I noticed it's missing a large number of local L3 charging locations in my area.
What is the process for informing the Admins of this issues? With all of these locations missing it can't do a decent job routing me to most of the places within a thousand km of my home.
I live in BC Canada and with a very quick look I noticed at least 9 station locations missing. A few of these locations have more than one charger as well as L2 for Hybrids etc.
I've uploaded a screenshot of my local L3 locations for reference.
Thanks

The easiest way is for us to get an interconnect agreement with the network that operates those chargers and get the data from them.  Do you have contact information for them?

The second-best way is to add them yourself to OpenChargeMap (Their interface is a little clunky, but the most universal coverage).  The "Add Charger" form is at this link: https://openchargemap.org/site/poi/add - Once the charger is approved by OCM we'll pick it up within 24 hours and you'll see it on our map.

Thanks for the info on how to help get locations added.  What about this location? Link: https://openchargemap.org/site/poi/details/110776 -  It shows up in Openchargemap, has lots of recent check-ins on plugshare with a 10.0 rating, but doesn't appear on ABRP. This would be a key location for me driving to Rhode Island from Detroit, Mi.

Thanks for the work, I really like the features of ABRP, I hope soon it is usable for me in the states. Right now it's missing too many chargers that would be vital in places like the New York State Thruway.

OCM imports those chargers from NREL, but since NREL does not even contain the charger power (kW), they seem to guess default data, so it may be a little shaky on accuracy.

ABRP was a little hard on requiring charger status information from OCM, but I have removed that requirement now, which means that unknown status chargers (from e.g. NREL) will show up as open now. Let us know how it works.

I was looking to do a trip and there are only a few fast charge (over range) along the route I am planning via abrp yet on plug share there are multiple.  most are echarge network but I am not sure if it may be better to get the data via Plugshare or some other independent provider of data? I really like the way ABRP does the route and time requirements for each leg but cant use it for New-Brunswick.

Interesting, I would guess that we get that information from OpenChargeMap, perhaps they lost a data source recently?  Checking the map on their website, it seems they're missing those chargers as well.

I get at least the Tesla and the Canmore Public Parking [flo] ones after enabling Superchargers and Chademos, but the CCS has been marked as a dupe - I will have to look over that. Thanks!

Edit: There, should be fixed within 24 hours when the databases have been refreshed.
