Repeated crashes IOS app 4.0.25 trying to start navigation

Recommended Posts

Description: Repeatable IOS app crashes every time I tried to start navigation to a destination
Type: IOS 4.0.25.

I had started navigation and then stopped at the shops.

As I got back in the car I think I hit replan and ABRP crashed.
I then restarted it - the destination was still there.  I hit the navigate button and ABRP crashed again.
Repeated same 3 or 4 times and gave up and switched to Waze.

I was using one Android phone with Electricified to push data to ABRP, and my iPhone I was intending to navigate with

My trip is on ABRP anyway since I guess it was captured from Electrified.  But I can't figure out where "Share" may be found.

I tried to find some sort of trip id to share with you

I also can't get export to work in the web app.  If I go to "My drives", pick today then it finds my drive.  I click on the drive and hit export and the app opens "https://abetterrouteplanner.com/undefined"

Anyway - the main issue is that I want to use ABRP on a long trip and I really can't if it is all crashy...

iPhone 7+.

Would I do better using the Android phone rather?

Hi @Steve Davies,

The issues with crashes related to going off the route / replanning will be adressed in the upcoming update.

If it is a plan you've saved you may load it and then click share > share ABRP link, however logs in 'my drives' cannot be shared through a link.

The issue with exporting to excel is something which we've had reports on from some users but we've not been able to replicate it and find the cause of it.  Did the export fail for a particular log or all logs? What browser and version of browser were you using when this happened? Canary? ?

No,

I can't access "My Drives" from Canary - it doesn't find them.  I was using Firefox.

I think it has to do with a stale token for the API and logging out and in again seems to sort it out.

Hi @Steve Davies,

Okay, so you were using Firefox on iPhone 7 plus and not the iOS app when the crashes occurred?

That could've been the case, we're working to improve things regarding linked cars so that users can also read a status on the connection but it will depend on the type of connection (how much of a status we can get).

No -

The crashes were with navigating using the app

The issue with exporting to Excel was a different problem.
