Brent
Description: I really like the features of this planner but it would be great to be able to move the routes to alternate roads like google maps does in its planner, otherwise it is very difficult to select the roads I would prefer to drive on. also it would be nice to specify as asked for here elswhere, more charge details based on optimum charge rate eg if super charging it would be great to plan based on charge rate, optimize trip to use the fastest charge rate not charge state when arriving and specifiy a minium charge time at a charger, it seems to plan some stops to be just a few minutes instead of filling the battery more at a previous charger thanks for working on a improved planner though Use Case: I would use this all of the time, right now i have to use google maps to select scenic or preferred roads.

Jason-ABRP
This is a feature we used to have, before we migrated away from Google Maps. It's been on our to-do list to bring back for a while, I just haven't had time to do it. Perhaps what we need to do is put up a poll thread, see what new features are most desired by the community so we can focus our efforts. We are solidly in need of a good UI/UX person, both Bo and I are engineers by trade (day jobs!), and it definitely shows in the interface. If anyone's interested, send us an email! Sean Turvey
I would definately use this and it would fix a problem with international borders that I have.
gday
I too thought this would be useful but now I zoom in to the area I want to change then use the right mouse click menu to pin a waypoint along a road I wanted to use. I did this for one area and was surprised to see how the software adjusted, not by a straight line but along the roads nearest. Just a thought. I tried plotting one that took 7 pins just to keep it from crossing international borders. That is just part of my trip. ABRP cannot plot a lot of it because the are no far chargers on route. https://abetterrouteplanner.com/index.html?plan_uuid=1aff4c69-fe5f-4e58-8645-3834d3d30ea3
gday
Now THAT is a real "trip" - I understand your very different needs compared with mine. I am a long way from trying such an adventure but one day I hope! I admit it would be nice to do the Google maps feature and posted a separate message - Jason did acknowledge it but they need programming help and I can't provide it. I worked with computers but only using them. The ABRP is definitely still promising as I see it.

gday
That is amazing! My first "long" distant trip was from just north of Toronto to Niagara on the Lake - LOL. Did you make the journey or are you on the way?

gday
The very best of luck on your journey Sean. A great adventure and lots of fun learning as you travel. Even on my ultra mini trip it was fun to see numbers roll by and come true . . . or not! It appealed to my retiree mind and was great brain food. I feel electric cars have a major difference to ICE vehicles in that readouts are digital and pretty precise. E.g. we see the effect of turning on AC instantly and in a meaningful way - in an ICE car it still affects things but the movement of an analog needle is not perceived. Learning how to react to the digital changes or not is a new paradigm as I see it. My eye tends to look at battery percentage first then range if needed. On your long journey chargers will be not only waypoints but keypoints! Geoff
