Fewer stops

Question

I'd prefer to drive longer and change longer but stop less frequently.  For example, I am planning a route from northern NJ to the University of South Carolina in my Tesla MS 70D.  It gives me 6 stops to charge, and each leg is around 60-90 minutes, and it has me charge each time only to about 50-60%.  I could clearly do it with 5 charging stops, possibly 4.  I would be willing to increase my total time, but I want to drive each leg longer and stop less.  Is there a way to do that?

I just tried to "mimick" your route but I got like 4 (or 5) charges. Planned it starting from New York (as you mentioned North Jersey) and I get 6 supercharger stops. Now, some of my settings might be different then yours.

In settings I currently have it to arrive at a charger each time with 20% left. If I change this to 10% left then the number of supercharger stops goes down to 4. Might want to check into that.

You can also click on a supercharger on the map and then state do not use, then have it recalculate your route.

Here's my specific route, but I think the scenario can be to any destination.  The one defining feature is that it almost never has me charging over 60%. and driving not more than 1.5 hours.  Its is not leveraging the full range.  I want to be driving for 2+ hours at a stretch.  I can force this by picking some SCs as waypoints and make others as "do not use"; its a lot of trial and error.

I drive a little fast and have 2 passengers.  I have a Model S 70D.

Thanks for you time.

You can use the long break option to force charging to 100%. In this case this lets you make the jump from Aberdeen to Chester (just) and from Fayetteville to UOSC:

You can also use the charger options to force to charge to a higher state of charge then adding a charger as waypoint:
