Shidar
Hey Guys, so I tried to Setup Torque today to work with my Ioniq and I think I got everything correct. I drove some small test drives but it seems that the Webserver Upload is not working. My OBD is connected and everything looks fine but I dont get the actual SoC. Only the expected one. Also I dont really know what todo with the PIDs that start with !_ABRP. Maybe you could describe a bit better and explain vor me.
Jason-ABRP
Did you start with the Generic Instructions, then use the table in the Ioniq Specific instructions at step 3? The end goal is to have all of the PIDs listed in the specific instructions selected for webserver logging in Torque and sent to the address in the specific instructions. I really do need to figure out a way to streamline this process to make it easier for people to set up.
Shidar
Yes I did everything like it was written there. Maybe it´s because of the wrong name of the PIDs. The instructions says !_ABRP_Battery_Current but it´s actually 000_Battery_Current. Do I have to rename them? I also activated the Webupload. Entered the server url and my mail adress and the test says success. So everything should be fine. Edited November 15, 2018 by Shidar
Shidar
Ah I see you have added your own pull request in Github with another csv. I imported this one now and will try again. Thats a bit confusing. Maybe you should mention that until the pull request is merged.
Jason-ABRP
Hmm, I thought that we had gotten that merged already. Odd, I'll check in with those folks and make sure that gets added.
Shidar
After importing the ABRP PID´s everything is working fine. I did my first 300km now and it looks good.
Ou Boet
Shidar Quick question for you. Where/how are you plugging in your OBD scanner? On my IONIQ it looks like the connector is under a plastic cover. However, with an OBD scanner connected, it doesn't look like the cover will go back on. Is there a trick or do you just have a super small scanner? Cheers OB
VJW
Either leave the cover off or find a very thin connector with an extension to tuck the dongle away. I leave the cover off.
Ou Boet
@VJW, thanks for the response. After some Googling I came to that solution by myself. But it's reassuring to hear it from an other owner. OB
KarlA
Hi everyone, just one question, which type of OBD2 dongles are you using. By now I have bought two already, neither is working. .... and a hint for those wondering how to connect the OBD2 dongle and still be able to close the cover, just release the OBD2 plug from its place and fix it, with the dongle plugged in, in a way it doesn't interfere with the cover. Jason-ABRP
@JoBru - I moved the instructions to a button on the planner website itself. If you go to Settings > More Settings > Live Data > Setup it'll provide full walk-through instructions on how to set up your device.

At the moment it is working like a charm. Only value in live data I don't understand is "charging", because it always has the value "yes". Interesting, for the 28kWh Ioniq? Could you check what PID is selected for the charging status? It should be: !_ABRP_HV_Charging Charging val{000_HV_Charging} 0 1 Which I believe only shows 1 when the CCS port is active. If this is wrong, I probably ought to correct the PID list. It's for the Kona 64kWh. Longname is !_ABRP_Fast_Charging rest is the same. Grtz, John
